Never Once

Never once ~ has God failed to hear me, even though, I am probably harassing HIM.

Never once ~ has HE told me to snap out of it, even when I can’t seem to do so.

Never once ~ has HE asked what happened to my joy when I feel the weight of it all.

Never once ~ has HE failed to dry my tears, and they have poured like monsoonal rains.

Never once ~ has HE walked away from me, even when I have turned my back on HIM.

Never once ~ has HE said I didn’t need HIM as much as others, although too true.

Never once ~ has HE been too busy to hear all I’ve needed to say for days on end.

Never once ~ has HE ignored me, when I ignore HIM too often.

Never once ~ has HE looked the other way as though HE is ashamed of me.

Never once ~ has HE blamed me, although I do that enough for both of us.

Never once ~ has HE thrown my words in my face, although admittedly……..

Never once ~ has HE brought up my past. When HE forgave, HE forgot!

Never once ~ will HE fail to answer my prayers, even if I have to wait for a time.

Never once ~ will HE leave me to flounder when I ask for help.

Never once ~ will HE ask me to beg for anything in HIS hands.

Never once ~ will HE leave me alone in the dark.

Never once ~ will HE fail to comfort me after correction.

Never once ~ will HE tell me HE has done enough, although, God knows……

Never once ~ will HE tell me to take it elsewhere.

Never once ~ will HE withdraw HIS love and support.

Never once ~ will HE do anything to harm me in any way.

Never once ~ will HE withdraw HIS embrace or presence.

Never once ~ will HE lie to me. HIS Word is true!

Never once ~ will HE manipulate me to get my attention.

“Therefore be imitators of God, as beloved children. And walk in love, as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us, a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God.” Ephesians 5:1,2

To be like Jesus, to be like Jesus,

It’s all I ask ~ To be like HIM.

All through life’s journey

From earth to Glory,

I only ask to be like Him.
