I Am The Child

I am the child.
I am the child who rocked herself to sleep.

I am the child who cried out from the deep.

I am the child who felt completely alone.

I am the child, no feeling, like stone.

I am the girl.

I am the girl with nary a friend.

I am the girl torn deep within.

I am the girl without her way.

I am the girl silent each day.

I am the woman.

I am the woman who finally knew.

I am the woman seeking what’s true.

I am the woman who looked for love.

I am the woman with a gift from above.

I am the child.

I am the child YOU found when lost.

I am the child YOU saved at great cost.

I am the child of the great King.

I am the child who learned to sing.

Thank You, Lord, for loving me, sparing me, finding me and saving me.

Thanks for giving me a song the angels cannot sing!

I love you!

YOU made me who I am!
